AMS Catback Exhaust Preliminary Review - Damn near Perfect! ****PICS POSTED!!!!***

I just had my AMS Single catback installed today, and first let me say wow AMS has a great shop!! First impression when i saw the exhaust was WOW that has to be the most beautiful exhaust I've ever seen! Quality was superb! I looked at the design and of all the exhaust I have seen, AMS has to have the best! Especially for those who are looking for the bolt on turbo upgrade coming soon this is the exhaust you want for power. The sound of this exhaust is very unique its sounds amazing almost reminds me of a single turbo supra tamed down. Part throttle driveability is great! It nice has a very pleasant tone just a little bit louder than stock. When you open up the throttle it sounds amazing! Very clean crisp sound no rasp! AND NO DRONE!! I am excited to see how it will sound with downpipes! Fitment is great the Y split of the down pipe looks excellent the whole system is just beautiful! AMS took the time to design a very quality product that offers great performance and serious weight reduction!!! 40 Lbs vs the stock 92 lbs! Add a lightweight battery, lighter wheels? You can easily drop 150 lbs. There will be pictures being posted soon, I will also be taking video sound clips. Hats off to AMS for a great product!

How can you write accolades such as those, and not post a single picture?

Will, it was great meeting you and talking with you last night. I am really glad you liked the system. Brain, one of our marketing guys snapped a bunch of pictures. He unfortunately is not in today but will be in tomorrow. I will get him to post up a bunch of pictures the second that he gets back in.

I am super stoked you liked the system. I really do think its the highest quality on the market and the sound is spot on!

I am going out of town for an event here in a couple of hours so I won't be checking back on here as often as I would like but I will be sure to drop in at least once each day.

Thank you again Will and if you can take some video of it for the members here, I bet that is what everyone is waiting for

Eric

So they have the Y-pipe thing going on? Then split back into dual exhausts? If so, why not do a fully divorced dual pipe all the way back like AE?

I'm sure AMS has their reasons for doing it this way, but I'm just curious, that's all!

Its a single muffler with dual tips,so it looks like a true dual exhaust,(stock like).

Maybe they wanted to create backpressure?

I actually pictured an angled single JDM style exhaust, lol.

Ya, meee tooo.........Like something that you'd see on a Supra or STi. But I should have known better that AMS would know better!! LOL

Curious to see tho.........

P.S. I read and thought that back pressure isn't good for FI cars? Whenever that discussion comes up, it's like opening a can of worms.....LOL

Covered in a previous thread: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=196732 . They definitely did their due diligence and came up with what they determined to be the most efficient and effective system.
