www.rimpro.com

The ONLY option in the NE area. PM me, I'm always in RI and can arrange a discount as well as getting it up there for you.

That's not exactly true...there is Rim & Wheelworks in Waltham...BUT, I would rather go to RimPro. They were nicer and I feel their work was better too.

Rim & Wheelworks in Waltham is decent but, does not have the type of equipment that Rimpro has. Rimpro uses NO HEAT at all to straighten their wheels. Thus saving 100% integrity of the wheel.

Gonna chime in - I've had several bad experiences w/ RimPro, and so have a few of my friends on the Audi boards. They half-fixed one of my wheels, so the bend was not visible but it was still leaking air. After two more attempts, they finally fixed it, but lost an HRE center cap in the process.

I also tried the wheel repair place in Peabody on Rt.1 - they actually did great work at a great price, but I heard the owner recently got into some legal trouble. May be best to stay away from there...

Haven't tried Wheel Solutions in Allston yet... their prices are very good, so maybe that's the place to go for simple curb rash?

Rim & Wheelworks in Waltham quoted me $250 for fixing my bend and curb. The price also included mounting, balancing and taxes but for that price i can get a new rim.

whoa, WAY too much. last time I bent a wheel, I paid $150 to straighten it, refinish it, polish the lip, and repaint the face.

Yea, it was for 19" SSR Comps... I don't remember the name of the place, but the address is 80 Newbury St in Peabody (that's Rt. 1). I've done a lot of work at the neighboring shop, so I may have gotten a hookup from the owner. But either way, $250 is a lot

I am pretty sure that I paid $165 at RimPro to fix my bent rim. The only thing was that I removed the wheel before taking it there. I think it's like $175-$185 if you drive in with it still on your car.

If it is just cosmetic and the wheel doesn't need to be straightened, I would be happy to take of it for you. I have a detail shop in Wakefield, MA and have an awesome wheel repair technician that I use. Usually the cost is around $150 to $165, depending on how bad it is.

Here is an Audi that I had the wheels repaired on... http://forums.yuppieracing.net/showthread.php?t=970

Feel free to drop me a PM if you are interested...

Best regards,
~Rick

I have some pretty bad curb-rash, but no bending. I have the tire/wheel warranty, should I try and get the rash fixed through that or am I going to be diappointed? How much just to refinish the wheel? I'd need all 4 done

I DIY'd 2 of mine. ~$40 for the materials. Not that difficult, came out fine.

Since we're talking about fixing a curb rashed wheel, would putting some TiAg touch up paint on it work? I know it wouldn't be perfect by any means, but thought it may help to hide it a bit. I have some around the edge of the rim, and was thinking of doing it.

Not sure how this ^ would work. I used the Wurth silver wheel paint and clear, picked up filler and sand paper at autozone.

The prices to fix curb rash in NE are insane, especially when the DIY is cheap and easy.
