Too bad you dont have any Civil background....they are in demand @ the moment and I could have passed it to me PM...

You should take more certifications while your waiting...take LEED or the 30 hr OSHA...
Pretty easy...got mine recently..

go back to school maybe? if i understand you have an associate degree with 2 years of school, these days kids with 4 years are even having a hard time getting something...

yeah....i know plenty of people having a hard time with the job hunt even with a 4 year degree from elite universities....

louisiana is booming with construction from what i've heard because they are still rebuilding so you could try and find a temp over there. everything over here is stabilized so the little work that comes up, all people are already accounted for. it really sucks. i know cvs is hiring for managerial positions as well as AT&T so you might want to look into retail also for the time being until this "crisis" mellows out.

economic status is at an all time low but i do agree with toad texas and Illinois (chicago) industry is stronger than most states.

+1.... I just graduated in May, and I'm sorta having a tough time finding a job. I get a bunch of calls everyday for BS jobs... Most of them are for selling insurance, which I definitely don't want to do.
