You can take it to any muffler shop...I want to say that they would do it for $50 if its just welding it to stock mid pipe...I may be off though.

Instead of starting a new thread.. I just bought a new muffler, and I need to get the res deleted, a Y pipe welded on and extended to the new muffler. Any suggestions for a place that does good work especially welding. I am in Hopkinton but I'll drive to get this done right the first time. Also, anyone run into any problems during an inspection after doing something like this?

I called Lou's in Waltham and they gave me an estimate of about ~$300 over the phone.. Seems a bit high for just the install. I also have been speaking to dave96dcm over PM, but he's a little hard to reach. Anyone have his phone number?

Really? Just to weld a muffler onto your existing mid pipe? I am wondering if they are quoting you on a full replacement.

I had my Remus muffler installed at Unique Custom Exhaust in Burlington. They did a great job quickly, and the price was right. Anthony is a great guy.

I started by saying I already had the muffler. Then, I said cut off res, weld Y pipe, extend to muffler?? Hopefully dave can get back to me soon so I can set something up.

Had my Rogue Ikon welded at Lou's in Peabody, Ma.
Good job if you want yours MIG welded. TIG will give a much cleaner look, they don't use TIG on their exhaust welds. 20$ for the muffler to be welded to my pipe.

When were you there? I probably missed you, I ended up driving down late (around 5) and stuck around for a while...

I ordered some elbows and stuff, I'll let you know when it comes in, I was thinking though, just from past experiences, I think it would be a good idea to do just the muffler and see how you like it, cause if I delete resonators at the same time and it is too loud it is a pita to put them back on.
