CBS Service in Canada
For our US members, there seems to be (?) dealer consensus to do an oil change at the one year interval as part of scheduled maintenance (i.e. free), even if the computer shows its not time yet.
I have very few kms on my car (approx 7k), but my anniversary of purchase is coming up. My CBS says 21,000k or Sept. 2007 (so this time next year). Two years seems like a heck of a long time. Does anyone know if in Canada there is a similar rule to change the oil after 12 months no matter what the mileage ? PS I have searched and found nothing specific to Canada, only to the US. |

stealerships will refuse to change your oil unless you actually reach like 20K+ or reach a year and a half..minimum. thats what they said when i approached them with my e90 after a year anniversary...basically, until the count down meter reaches 0 or a year and a half has passed...

Ha, actually I called my dealerships service department expecting to hear "come back in 2007", but they said, no come in now since they do it at the 12 month interval (so either your mileage is there or 12 months, whichever is first).
Go figure. |
