Paid to test BMW proto-type!

Just got a call and was invited to test BMW proto-types and they are paying me. Way cool! Hope its not a scam....don't think I have any Warrants out for my arrest....LOL.

Private ride and drive event in NJ. Asked me wierd questions. Paying me $200 dollars for 4 hours.

Asked me to take pictures of my trunk and back seat as I use it every day.

Some of the prereq where could not have been to a car show in the last year or so and that I don't work in the automotive industry. That I own a 3 series sedan.

Its legit I just confirmed.

This is going to be for the 3 series GT. It is in the early stage of concept- they are looking to make another vehicle on the 3 series platform (next generation) and build it in Spartanburg...

So I hear!

I am sure you will need to sign a NDA so you will be unable to explain the car to us at all. There was another one of these events on the West Coast about 6 months ago.

In all seriousness I hope your trunk is pretty much empty like mine, the 5 series GT looks ugly enough let's not let them butcher the 3 too.

Make sure the spare and jack, lug wrench, etc are scattered around the trunk

Definitely make sure you sneak a camera to the event! Although I'm sure they make you sign a confidentiality agreement and hold onto your cell phone.

Regardless, that's pretty cool. How did they get in touch with you? Phone? Email? Letter?

I got a call from a strange number last night but didn't pick up. I figured it was my school's alumni calling for a donation again. God I hate that.

They contacted me by phone...It was a California number.

They already sent me an email saying no cell phones or camara's. No children. Its being run by a consumer testing company. Not sure If I should say where it is taking place....But it is at a big convention center type of place. They cut you a check before you leave the research group test. It will probably suck but I am looking foward to seeing the proto-types. They said on the phone that they will have proto-type BMW's that are not on the market.

could sign up for 2, 3, 3 1/2 ou 4 hour sessions...Sat. or Sun. I wanted a 4 hour on Sun. but that was booked so I took 3 1/2 hour on Sat. works out to be 50 dollars per hour pay.
