Broke my ECU subconnector...
I was trying to uninstall my JB3 so I could take the car to the dealer and I managed to break the slider and the actual sub connector. The part of the actual ECU that the sub connector attaches to is also bent (the black plastic part on top of the metal). Anyone know part numbers for these or where I could find them? I tried tischer and couldn't find it.

I have no idea how you could break all that. Sucks though and hopefully the parts arent too expensive.

Found this post for you. Only problem is parts don't register on Tischer's site.

Subscribed. I broke some of the clips on mine but not as bad as breaking the entire subconnector. Good luck.

Here is some advice, do NOT try and bend everything back yourself. The worst thing you could do is bend it, weaken it and have it snap off entirely. This is something that will for sure get your warranty F'd with. Good luck, be careful fixing it, its worth money to have it done professionally if the need calls for it.

Thanks for the replies. I stuck the sub connector on the ECU without the slider and the car runs but of course that's a short term solution. I wouldn't want the thing to come apart while driving. I think the top of the ECU itself is fine, the only broken part is the large sub connector and the slider.
Does anyone know how the wires are attached to the sub connector? There are several wires that stay in the large sub connector even with the two sliders of wires removed. If they're soldered or something I probably couldn't replace them myself. |

Damn that must be a terrible experience. I would start thinking a new harness and major $$$$. Where did you manage to get the parts?
