You get a little snow...

and suddenly people forget how to drive. I almost hit somebody this morning because they decide to switch to the left lane to turn at the last possible second. I had to hit the brakes hard and probably stopped less than a foot away from the lady's friggin' minivan.

She just looks at me, waves and takes off in front of me.

The all wheel drive doesn't exactly inspire confidence either. I'm going to have to get some real snow tires.

Pretty much ... AWD does not do anything other than help get up a hill or get you going (with the front wheels pull) ... if you're actually going to be driving in (during) the snow, you're gonna need some snows.

PS - I have a set of pretty much brand spanking new Dunlop Wintersport 3Ds in an 18 in I think 225 all around.

Let me know if you need them

Yep, saw many stupid drivers this morning too. Happens all the time, especially during the first real significant snow of the year.

+1

My dunlop snows and dsc rocked today. Felt planted and secure the entire way. I was sort of thinking I should have gotten the AWD but after today, I'm glad I stuck to my guns and just went RWD. It wasn't nearly as bad driving as people would have you think.

Put the winter setup on this weekend. What a difference!! Can't wait until a real blizzard hits.

Cool, I'll do some research and let you know.

It was weird though since it was crazy snow in Andover, but as soon as I hit Saugus, it was all rain with no snow on the ground. Hopefully the ride back will be uneventful.

Yeah my commute this morning consisted of a nice drive! Could have been bad if I had all-seasons ... lets just leave it at that
