Strange that they don't post the gCO2/km.

Anyone who thinks it is zero is delusional. Based on standard UK emissions from electrical energy production I'd be surprised if this was more efficient than a 118d.

See, that's what I don't get. How can it be "green" to have a huge power plant (emitting CO2, probably) sending electricity many miles (inefficiently via cables) to recharge a battery (made using Lithium extracted from Bolivian salt flats).
Compared to a compact power unit (BMW 318 diesel) that you only use when the vehicle is in motion.........

Or to put it another way, isn't it a con to talk about zero emissions for a car, when there's a shedload of emissions in creating the electricity that powers the car?

Come to think of it, doesn't the same argument apply to trains?
