spare wheel in boot
has anyone removed that god awful tray in the boot under the mat where 'normal' cars have the spare wheel, I wanna do away with RF's and buy a space saver and put 275/40's on the rear and 245/35's on the front or something like that

I don't think that a spare (even a space saver) will fit in there.. Btw - you're up early!!

Yeah, BMW screwed us E90 owners by not putting a spare tire compartment.... We are all slaves to the RFT's, unless you go for the tiresealant answer.
Me personally, I have shitcanned those horrible RFT's. I have a spare rim/tire at my house that I can throw in the trunk for long trips. For short commuting, I just keep a can of sealant in my handy bin the trunk BTW, the car drives SOOOOO much better with non-RFT's. |

I am currently doing the same... I have an extra style 162 rim where I have an old RF trire mounted... I throw it in my trunk for long trips along with my jack... Can of tire sealant for the other times... Rf tires are very noisy and just obnoxious when it comes to bumps... |
