law related issue

Right,

I was on a part time course at Kingston Uni and they just sent me an invoice for un returned books! I returned the books ages ago and I could still find my old receipts! But they are saying that the books cannot be found on the shelves and that I am still liable for those!!!....

Any one got any advice?

Send them the proof that you returned them by showing the receipts, it's their problem not yours.

agree with Will. The receipts prove they received them - that's the whole point of a receipt.

Photocopy the reciepts before you send them as they will loose them as well.

from my experience of our expenses processing system that is exactly what will happen and sods law it will be the one time you did not copy the receipts
