Can I use these Rims? 5x114.3?
Have some 19" OZ racing rims on brand new tires that I bought for an accord I owned for about 3 weeks. Would love to be able to slap them on my 07 E90 sport, but I know the lug pattern is wrong, these are 5 x 114.3 instead of 5 x 120, Discount Tire told me it would be unsafe to use adapters/spacers, is that correct?
Thanks for any input. |

I wouldn't run the adapters myself. There are alot of guys that run spacers/adapters, so I wouldn't really say they are unsafe, its just alot of tire shops don't like to accept liability for spacers/ adapters since they are a direct deviation from OE.
Why not just sell the OZ's and put the money towards some fresh new wheels. |

If you can use adapters/spacers depends on the offset of those wheels.

A typical adaptor is atleast 15mm, so you will need a wheel with around 45mm offset, depending on the width of the wheel. Adaptors, when properly installed, are not dangerous. Assuming you go with a quality brand. |

Cool, thanks guys, to be honest, I don't know how to tell what the offset of these wheels are, should there be a marking somewhere on the rim itself? Also, the rims are non-staggered, if I have an E90 sport ('07) do I have to run staggered rims? I'd imagine that might affect the offset as well.. .
I appreciate the assist cheers, joel |
