Hi! (HyperBoost diverter valves / Milltek exhaust for 335i)

Hi Folks!

I would like to introduce myself. My name is Bob Hamme and I am the co-owner of a tuning company called Stratmosphere. We are into tuning Porsche/Audi/VW scene. We recently purchased a 335i and have begun developement for this car.

I am happy to offer you in the near future a Milltek exhaust system with gains up to . We already have HyperBoost diverter valves

Here are the valve in comparison

Stock vs. Hyperboost

As for the Milltek system,

Here are some dynos of the catback system tested on the 335i at Milltek.

Stock exhaust at flywheel

Milltek catback at flywheel

12.4hp gained just from the catback system.

By this week, we should have the system on our 335i!

Stay tuned for more updates!

If you have any questions please feel free to call me at 1866-533-1777

Cheers!

What is the advantage of the "HyperBoost diverter valve" over stock? What would I use it for?

The Bosch valve is commonly found in Audi's, Porsche's and is known to fail, therefore we found a solution by engineering a new more durable valve.
The stock valve in the car regulates your turbo power. At idle, your valve is open from vacuum pressure, but when you depress the throttle, the diverter valve begins to close. When the valve is fully closed, turbo boost is allowed to be delivered to your engine. When you lift the throttle, the boost pressure is released from the valve into your air cleaner box. Therefore Inadequate/defective valves have extended lag, loss of boost, sluggish throttle response. A HyperBoost valve can clear up the previously mentioned problems. Also, if you have a chip, you need a HyperBoost valve now. Chips simply overtax standard diverter valves.

I don't know about you, but I'm not changing my exhaust system from the cat back for 12 hp. I do realize that if I had substantial tuning work done, a cat-back system would be necessary and that the net-net return would probably yield more than 12 hp. However, I dont see the reason to make a cat-back system one of your first choices to boost power.

Well there was also 18lb ft of torque... The sound is intoxicating and the car pulled much , much harder. We will have sound chips as well !

While I'm not really into modding my car, I love the fact that you guys are already working on ways to modify the 335 for those who want more power!

I love Stratmosphere! They have treated me so well in the past with my Audi.

Glad they are starting to offer stuff for the 335.

I'd do it for the sound and look alone. You're lucky to have a turbo car to actually be able to see any appreciable gain from an exhaust.

I have purchased the diverter valve, and cat-back exhaust fot my VW in the past. Awesome stuff.
Particularly the exhaust, sounds deep and quiet, no drone, just ballsy and deep. Diverter showed no performace gain, but throttle response was MUCH improved, and it's a very high quality peice. VW's diverters' are junk, and are shot in no time with any spirited driving.

How did you get 311whp and 330wtq out of a dyno dynamics dyno, STOCK?

These are the most stingy of all dynos.

Dynojets are putting down 280-290 whp, and always show higher numbers than other dynos.

What gives?

NEVERMIND... you have it at the "FLYWHEEL" ic.

Next question is, WHY ??????? Why not leave it at the wheels without converting it?

I guess it would be cool if sound and looks are your goal; not to mention 18 lb/ft of torque isn't that bad. I guess one main concern for me that would need to be addressed before I do ANY exhaust work on my car is the fuel mixture. These things normally run way lean, so without a way of controlling fuel, you may be asking for trouble, right?

Strat(as they are known to AW members) is quality aftermarket part supplier. Thay also have Great customer support. I would highly recommend this Company. BYW, any chance of getting some Style 189 replicas? I have been unable to find anything like that . I would think that many 335i owners will need some winter rims . I personally am looking to go to non run flat all season tires for better treadwear.
