Video review of the F10 5er by Autoblog.nl
Here is yet another review of the 5-series to add to our growing list. This video is in dutch but they have been thoughtful enough to subtitle it in English for the rest of us. Take a look below and enjoy..

Very nice car.
LOL-- I love how the automotive press love to drift vehicles on test runs. I doubt most 5er buyers will be interested in doing donuts on a race track. But it is always nice to have that option I guess |

This car is all kinds of WIN!! This looks like a 535i sedan, because of dual/single exhaust.
I am so ready to get out of my IS 250 lease! The Geneva Motor show cannot come soon enough, I want to hear about US pricing. The more I see these videos, the more tempted to go for the 535i, but it would be in my better interest to wait for 535xi model in the fall. |

Vary nice car, but is it me or did that suspension seem WAY too soft??? I thought this car had adaptive sport suspension? I imagine the tester would have engaged it,,,

From these shots, it wobbles a heck of a lot through turns, it corrects a bit too sharply and generally looks heavy and not very graceful. looks like the car is a bit out of its element.
probably because this is non sport comfy suspension. I'm sure Msport will sort it out just like with 3 series. still, looks like a damn heavy car, but good looking.

Nevertheless, I wouldn't consider this review to be very authoritative on technical issues since they misidentify the new N55 dual scroll turbo inline six as a twin turbo. |

Well I'm not going to try to interpret what these testers believe or don't in reference to the car's suspension and driving dynamics, I'll do that for myself when the car comes in.
But I did find it interesting, which is something I agree with at this point from afar, and it has to do with the car's looks. He stated the car is much more convervative than the e60, undeniable, and is concerned how the looks will grow on any owner over the next 3 to 4 years. Honestly, I share those concerns. My current gut feeling reads that BMW went too plain in it's latest redesign in an attempt to satisfy all those critics of the e60, when IMO it was a Home Run. Time will tell. |
