Direct fuel injection

Hi there, I've ordered mine 528i for delivery end of April. Still 8 weeks to wait ... mmm ...

The thing is - and I'm really interested in you're expert opinions - is that I have some concerns about the direct fuel injection pumps. In the x35i motor (twin turbo) some problems occurred with the injection pumps. Now BMW has altered this motor into the N54 if I'm correct (535i). The 6 in lines petrol now all have direct fuel injections. Let's hope that these are updated versions. Maybe I'm seeing it the wrong way.

greets

PS it's a lease car, so it should be no (financial) problem if problems occur of course (i don't expect it though)

Hi Erasmus(from Rotterdam I guess LOL) , I had a E90 335i back in 2006/7/8 an it was the best car for the money. No problems whatsoever. what I do know is overheating'problems' when going berzerk on a track or redlining it all the time for half an hour or so.

I chose the new N55 535i (also DI delivery may 2010) because I know it's going to be a blast. For sure. No worries.

Cheers
Robin

PS heb je automaat of handbak?

Thanks for the information. Spot on, near Rotterdam (EUR). 535i: nice !! Nice rims also. I've the 18-inch. I'm going for comfort. Of course High Executive etc.
My current car is a fully loaded 525d E61, therefore I drove a new 325i manual. A manual is perhaps more fun, but I chose the automatic version (due to the &^^%$ traffic jams).

greetz, Erasmus

PS Je kan er alleen jammer genoeg niet meer mee wegrubberen bij de Franse tolpoortjes. Hekel aan die Fransen : ) weet trouwens niet of je hier in het NL mag schrijven.

Many current EU market E60 and E90 use the engine from the F10 528i and there are no big issues. (Its the one with no Valvetronic and it has DI). It will be fine
