2nd Gear grind

Anyone experience a 2nd gear grind? I've had this since I purchased my car last year and the service dept. can't reproduce it. They blamed it on poor shifting. Yeah right. Then the second time I brought it in, they blamed it on the floor mats. I was finally able to reproduce it with the service tech in the car and he's still scratching his head. Basically, when I shift in high RPM > 5,000 and have the clutched depressed fully to the mat, the gear makes a nasty grind from 1st to 2nd.

Any suggestions?

Blown syncros on a new car seems strange, but possible I suppose.

Agreed. I'm going to take it back when I have time and reproduce it for the service manager in Peabody.

At least that was a common issue with the Infiniti Gs.

That's not fun
My GTI occasionally grinded 3rd if I got lazy, but never caused problems.
