Sold my M3 Convertible

Sold my Melb Red 2008 M3 E93 Convertible last Thursday, 14,000k on the clock, BMW Brisbane has it. Still using my X5 as a daily driver, always will have one of those.

Pickup my new White Ferrari Calaifornia - DTC on Friday night .

PS, Almost forgot, I have those Forged 360 Mesh 8 Black Matte 20"(handmade from the States) Wheels with Pirelli's, put them on for a week only, if anyone is interested give me a PM.

I hope to take some photo's this weekend, Yeh, sure is a huge jump.

Has the same 7 speed dtc gearbox as the M3 only difference is its a dual wet clutch and not a dry clutch like the M3. Comes with ceramic brakes, does 0-100kph is around 3.6 sec, the 2010 model has the revamped direct injection V8.

I can say the power comes on very quick & very early all the way up to 8,000revs. I thougth the M3 engine was quick and it is but the Ferrari comes online earlier than the M3, throttle response is instant. I think the fact it weighs nearly 100kgs less than a M3 DCT convertible may help.

I still like the M3's, I think there a fun car to drive, bang for buck there probably a better buy, but in a convertible Ferrari is a nice place to be!

I believe Brisbane BMW are asking $155k for it, it has the Eisenman Sports exhaust & the DTM spoiler still on it, also the front black & side grills.

Its not a bad buy for someone, they have added around 10% on top of what they paid me. They wanted the car pretty bad, I bought it at the right price to been with.

PS. This is what I went for, as you know I tend to play around with cars after I buy them so mine is not quite finished yet but this will show what I am aiming for!

Just looked at your car on carsales.com.au as well. Where did you get the aluminium footrest from? I have the BMW performance pedal set but can't seem to find a matching footrest plate anywhere for RHD cars?

I think I would've also kept the M3 as DD and F430 (low kays one) for weekends.

Still, congrats to OP. Cali's a lovely 'vert.

There is no aluminium footrest, only on the brake & acelerator pedal. The footrest looks like it has from the photo because its shinny.

I see they put the price up alittle?

The M3 DCT trans has wet clutches too. The transmissions aren't the same. The M3 has a Getrag 7DCI600 which is rated up to 440 ft-lbs and 9000 RPM. The California has a Getrag 7DCL750 rated for up to 553 ft-lbs. It is also a much larger transmission and weighs 264 pounds compared to the M3's 7DCI600's 173 pounds.
