E92 LCI Tail Lights

Gents,

I'm investigating the costs of getting the E92 LCI Tail Lights fitted... Initially I wasn't too concerned or fussed.... but now I'm starting to like them a lot. Has anyone seen them in person yet?

Do a little search on here.... I think one of the Vendors have already done a retro-fit.

I'm quite keen on these too zender...the question I have is whether they'd be ADR compliant? Because in the US, flashing indicator lights are sometimes red instead of orange and based on the pics I've seen, the LCI tails look as if they flash red. Otherwise, I'd be keen on a group buy?

Thanks Mate! Yup EAS has already done the retrofit and it is possibile without any splicing of wires (an adapter harness is required).

Mate - yup - know your concern and as long as we order the European version (basically from the UK) then we will get the same LCI except with Amber turning signals (I think it still looks red when not in use, but the actual LEDs are Amber). xsboost (Brisbane 335i owner) has ordered them already so I'm keen to see what challenges or lack of that he experiences (hopefully none!). I have also asked my dealer for a pricing/option (likely to be an expensive option).

With all said and done (am definitely keen to do a group buy!) Because the more I look at the LCI.. the more I like...

I have to admit, one cool thing about this LCI is that for what is a comparatively low cost... we can have a 2011 M3!

Guys...I'm quite keen on a set of these also. I looked at the bmminiparts.com site as they are supposed to have the Euro spec LCI tails but couldn't find them there? All they had were the normal taillights.

SPQR mate - I have the codes for bmminiparts.com, you're right they aren't quite up there on the site yet - I got them from xsboost (who has already ordered them).

Depending on what you guys think... we can wait until xsboost gets his done so that we know the issues or order straight away (happy either way).

Cheers,
Zenderm3

Great - how much are they? I'd prefer to wait until xsboost has had his done.

Including the FWM3 (Foot Well Module 3) it is AUD$1070.82 excluding delivery. The module itself is GBP$200 - but xs thinks that you can get your car coded without the FWM3... I think I might take the safe option - but we'll know when xsboost gets his installed.

SPQR - I'd prefer to wait too But I am super excited.

Hey Nick... no problems mate. Have you checked out the photos on the forums? I had a quick glanse at an E93 with the LCI tail lights. They looked pretty good. Although I can't wait to see them in person.

One of the Brissy 335i owners is doing an upgrade so I'm waiting for that to happen.

I did check out that thread... Photos downloaded too slowly. I saw the video from EAS. I need to check my own lights out again and also ring my contact at BMW Sydney for a price on them.I'll be keen to see the Brisbane 335is car done too with feedback.

cheers.

No problems mate. Totally understand. I think XSBoost will have his in by end of the month. I've asked my dealership to confirm the price anyway.

Cheers.

Ok I spoke with BMW Sydney today. No coupes in yet with the new LCI lights. So couldnt get a quote. Also a suggestion that Singapore would be a better country to get a quote for the lights as its closer. Food for thought.

Nick.. apparrently bmminiparts.co.uk is the cheapest (from what I have heard). Shipping shouldn't be too bad. I'm guessing that direct from BMW will be pretty $$$ but we'll see...
