After my recent iPod install, my car was taken up to the latest and greatest versions of software from Progman24.

The only problem I've had is with the idrive bluetooth integration, the phone book (A to Z) listing from my device is no longer displayed as A to Z (so : ABC ... DEF ... GHI... etc) but rather (VRH...CJ... UOWK... EG... etc).

I've re-paired my phone (Blackberry 8707V) a couple of times but same result with the address book. The problem makes it a little disorientating when driving to find the correct phone number for someone, but that is really it.

Anyone else had problems with Progman24?

CCC Telephone Address Book Not in Alphabetical Order

SITUATION
The customer may complain that the telephone address book displayed in the Central Information Display (CID) is not in alphabetical order. The problem occurs after the vehicle was programmed using Progman V22.2.0 (E89x-06-06-540).

CAUSE
Software error in Car Communication Computer (CCC).

PROCEDURE
Do not replace any parts.

Perform a short test using the DIS/GT1 with DIS V47 or higher and correct any faults in the CCC before continuing to next step.

Select "Function Selection=>Service functions=>Body=>Car Communication Computer=>Create boot file again" and then "Test plan".

Highlight and select "- Create boot file again S6512_50001" and page right.

This service function may only be used on vehicles with CCC. Follow test plan instructions and page right to start procedure.

The boot file is regenerated and takes about 20 to 45 minutes and must not be interrupted.

Once the test plan is finished, the message "The boot file was generated successfully" is displayed. End test plan and turn ignition off and wait until vehicle is asleep (approximately 4-5 minutes or until START/STOP backlighting is out).

Confirm that the telephone address book is displayed properly.

I did not experience this with Progman 24. This may be phone specific.
