Exclamation Dyno results - 431.2 tq @ 2900 & 368.6 hp

16/10/2010 NEW RUNS - Differences:

Same mods as before - Just new map (Autotune)
Autotune Enabled, Agression=2
And No Octane Enhancer

TQ 431.2 @ 2784 rpm --> 12.88 psi
HP 368.6 @ 5750 rpm --> 13.64 psi

Steady 57 deg F Ambient.
relative Humidity 34%

this is only a screen shot of some of the 25+ runs we did.

2007 E90 335i
6AT
Vishnu Procede V4 non-autotune.
Map 2, 2+
Helix FMIC
AFE DCI
Britalman Exhaust
94 Octane + 2 bottls of NOS octane enhancer for good measure. LOL.

4/6/2010
TQ 396.7 @ 2912 rpm --> 13.34 psi --> 11.92 AFR
HP 365.5 @ 5752 rpm --> 11.48 psi --> 13.69 AFR

Steady 99.9 / 100 deg F Ambient.

So... after a few months of enjoying my tune and some bolt ons... I figured it was time to set a few "baseline" runs, before I tune it more.

I went to Dynodoc - www.dynodoc.ca - Brady Moffat (info@dynodoc.ca). Brady was very friendly and enthusiastic, I would reccomend Him and his shop for all forms of Engine Tunning. (514) 396-9390

Dynopacks are good...just tend to read a lil high due to not having to turn any rotating mass.

They tend to read a few % higher than other load bearing dynes (mustang, dyno dynamics, etc. But still lower than Dynojets which are universally regarded as the most optimistic. This is assuming standard calibration of course which is why a stock/valet baseline run is useful. Good results though, good-looking car as well!

But definitely update to the autotuning maps. You will probably find out that you left a lot on the table with the early maps at default settings.

Andrew.... I loved the Helix FMIC I got from you.. too bad I had to sell your catless DP's during winter to make a car payment. all is good now. DP's are still up in the air.. I won't cheap out for the VK's or raceland.. I want AR only... but don't have the spare $$.

Shiv, you just emailed me the link to the autotuning maps... thanks. If i send you the CSV file with the AFR's and PSI.. (didn't Procede data log this time) can you just give it a once over for sanity check. The tuner said it was dumping a lot of fuel.. and running a lot leaner higher up would be much better....

Yep..email it over. It's very unlikely that the car was running too rich up top. It should run around 11:1 up top which is on the rich side. But it's certainly not too rich by any means. Maybe the tuner is used to traditional naturally aspirated engines in which case 11:1 is too rich for sure.

Also, in your dyno results, what is the low 250whp run? Valet? Stock?

No problem. I saw your txt file that had the AFR values. Looks perfectly solid. ~11.5:1 at peak hp. Not too rich by any means.

With the autotune would you be running more boost? Boost levels seem a little low for your mods?

So let me get this straight... you basically de-modded, ran current maps and got the same power? If so...nice!

All I did was update to Autotune maps. And I didn't bother with the octane booster.
