So pissed at bimmian right now

So, 3 weeks ago I ordered a set of painted reflectors (AW) from bimmian. When the first set arrived, the box said AW however the reflectors were Black.

Getting bimmian on the phone was impossible (unless of course you went to the sales hotline, that was staffed). They said no problem they would replace them but I had to ship the wrong ones back ON MY DIME. No matter, being I not the kind of person that normally complains about simple mistakes, I paid out of pocket to ship the bad ones back. So fast forward 1.5 weeks, the new ones come. Right out of the gate I thought something was odd.

1) They arent sprayed OEM they are aftermarket.
2) One of them was missing a spring (No prob took it off my OEM eggyolk)
3) They dont even come close to fitting properly.

First bump I hit this thing is going to come flying off. How to vendors handle their quality control? Bimmian is supposed to be a reputable vendor. I am now going to spend another hour on the phone trying to hunt someone down to send a product back and get a refund but shipping it back will come out of my pocket because for them to send a call tag costs them 25 dollars or something.

*SIGH* What to do.

Are you sure you didn't mess up the sides? Lefit/right?

I haven't had good experiences with Bimmian in the past either...

Positive.. they can really only go in one way

The oem clips on the bottom (the side without the springs) stick out about 6mm the bimmian ones about 2mm so its not grabbing the bumper panel.

I've always heard Bimmian is shit. +1 to whoever said to contact IND. They have some legit painted reflectors.

i havent bought anything from bimmian except their 'no yellow' turn signal bulbs (crappy quality but they worked so no complains) bout 3 yrs ago. the general consensus is that their products suck balls. should have gone to IND or another vendor on the forum. they tend to be more responsible in maintaining quality in the products they sell.

My interior xenon lights from bimmian was complete garbage but my painted reflectors were actually oem and very nice minus some paint bubbles but then again this was for my e46 m3 like 4 years ago.

Read the vendor review section before purchasing from vendors. There is a pretty long thread about the shit quality of those reflectors.

Bimmian Reflectors

Hey Alevy,

I do apologize for the experience you've had with us recently. No reason for the misship to have or occured or for this reflector to make it past our quality control.

I think in our conversation that we had, I agreed to issue you a site credit for the return shipping you had paid. I thought you were ok with that. I do apologize if I misunderstood.

Also, if you are willing to give it another shot, I can send you a replacement for what you have or issue you a site credit/refund. Let me know what you would like to do and I will take care of it.

My direct number is 866-423-3799 ex 15 or email is steve@bimmian.com.

If anyone else has any other outstanding issues, please do not hesitate to contact me as well.

Steve

Yup, stick with the OEM reflectors (we work with IND and carry those reflectors on our site). We also had to learn the hard way little over a year ago.

Yeah...their products suck. I ordered the Bimmian key hole delete and reflector cover and the color was off.

I had the same crappy fitment when I got those reflectors. I sent them back and got the IND ones instead. 100x better fit.

Same for me. It's was the passenger's side that was all screwed up.

I just did a quick search for this topic and I'm glad I'm not the only one that's having fitment issues. I got my on 7-8 and tried installing on 7-9. I kept pushing and pushing. Re-aligning multiple times making sure I was installing them correctly. Then I finally tried putting the OEM ones back on, and no fitment issues.

Also my car is garage kept. Driven 2-3 times a week, a few hours a time. Hasn't had that much sun exposure since I got it early April. The reflectors color match is not even close.

I wonder what bimmian's return policy is. If enough people complain they may take them back if they don't already.

I bought carbon fiber pillars for my first 550i and they peeled right off. They offered to replace them for 20% off and free shipping. Unacceptable.
