New possible BMW intake for the N54...the one from the 1-series M coupe ?

So, the new 1-series M coupe (1M) will have a modified N54 engine...my guess is that the software and hardware will be the same as the one from the Z4 sDrive 35is. Since the power will be at least as much the Z4, and the Z4 has an upgraded air intake, I can only speculate that the 1M will also have an upgraded air intake, maybe larger intake ducts and maybe a larger intercooler.

It would really be great to be able to retrofit these parts to our N54 engines...what do you think ?

Great idea but I'm not sure if it will be as easy as retrofitting however, some company could steal some of the design and implement it on our cars.

I was thinking along the same lines. Getting parts from the 1M to our N54.. we will have to see when it is released.. but im sure most and some parts will fit and be swapable. Gonna be like the audi and porsche guys swapping turbos and parts from there bigger turbo'd engine brothers.
