Warranty work - interior

Has anyone had luck with BMW of Honolulu fixing interior problems under warranty? The lamination on the driver's side door handle is peeling off. Doesn't seem right for a 3 yr old car. I want them to replace it under warranty but I haven't dealt with that dealership yet. Plus I have no idea how mod friendly they are (not that it affects interiors). Thanks.

I took my car in because the laminate on the steering wheel cover was peeling off. I didn't expect them to fix it but they said they would replace it. Waiting on the part to come in now.

Assuming that he bought Jon's old 335, the UR catless downpipes, AA exhaust, KW V3, and Forge DV's were all off of my 335i. I installed all of the parts on his car in my driveway.

BTW, those wheels are replica TE37's, not real ones. They are made by "Varrs Toen".

Reid - you have a PM. Thanks for the info on the wheels. Damn. It was listed/sold on Craigslist as Volk Wheels. Never did he state that they were reps or anything like that. That's SHADY business doing deals like that - selling replicas that cost a fraction of the price, not the same performance and not being HONEST about it.

The V4 is nice and I just updated it so I can use the fuel gage as a boost gage as well. That's a great feature and saves spending a couple hundred for a boost gage.

The exhaust is okay. There's a distinct rasp around 2300 rpm when acclerating which I don't care for. At other points times it sounds pretty good. I wish it was a little quieter at idle/constant RPMs (like highway cruising) and louder when WOT.

I've considered possibly looking into an Autobahn Exotics exhaust. Supposedly nice sounds with similar hp gains.

That's awesome! I wish I was that handy with a wrench. Those dowpipes must have been a pita. Did you get a new car? Thanks for the reply.

Do you mean drone at 2300 rpm? Or just raspy like Borla? I am looking to upgrade to V4 soon I bought my procede before my car arrived from Germany back in 2007. Did the upgrade to PNP and been out of the scene for awhile due to work. Hope you enjoy your new ride and thanks for the response.

It's a serious PITA to install downpipes without the use of a lift.

We sold our 335i to make room for a E92 M3.
