BT data logs of old vs latest software vs latest software with WG 'retrofit'

So I had the turbos replaced on my 01/07 build AT this week and as part of it they did the software update. Keeping in mind I had the original SW that was loaded when the car was built and it was very responsive and pulled pretty hard for stock. I test drove a 2010 and noticed it didn't feel as strong as my 07, but thought it may have been in my head.

Any way I was messing around with my BT cable back in June and decided to look at the logs from then and compare it to the new logs I took yesterday. I'm not experienced looking at them but it is clear the wastegate DC is very different appearing that it's open at idle vs. the old where it was closed. (If I'm reading it correctly)

Wastegate valve conversion IS still available for vehicles built 9/2007 and before!

Old Software is the first log, the New Software is the second log, and the New Software w/ wastgate valve conversion the third log.

In the lag sticky the latest assumption is that they still have it. I hope you will get it.

If the fix exists, it is interesting to see if you will get the wastegates to stay closed at idle exactly as they were, or if the fix is a compromise.

So, the wastegate at ~65 is closed, and at ~13 it is open? What are the units? What is the X-axis...time? What are we looking at...you flooring it for 5 gears?

Can you tell me how to datalog with the BT?

I'm no expert in reading these things but the higher the duty cycle the more closed the wastegate. I'm not sure what readings are fully open or closed. Yes the X axis is time, RPM's are scaled by 100, and the throttle is fully open at 80 (if you were to look at the peddle position you'd see it at 100% during the pull). From the looks of it this is a 1st gear shifting to 2nd gear log (I was just driving around the neighborhood) with letting of the throttle after 70ish MPH so you see the throttle close more and the wastgates go back to more closed during low load. I got the paramaters for the data logging from the N54tech website as well as a quick tutorial on how to do it.

So, my wastegate PWM is low 80's at idle, topping out at 163 when I'm going hard, and bottoming out at about 53 when I let off. I'm not sure how to interpret this- it seems way different than your numbers.

Interesting... can you post some logs?

I went to the dealer today and they told me (again) that the wastgate conversion is no longer available...getting tired of the run around. The team leader is going to call me tomorrow to explain what he did. I asked them to make sure to hook it up to the computer and follow the SIB??? really frustrating. I was told they even talked to BWMNA.

I would love to see some logs from someone who has the new software 38.x with the wastgate conversion to see is they actually did anything or just told those who had it done that they did something and really didn't. That is why I'd love to see your logs.

Your SA is blowing smoke up your ass. Go to the sticky software thread and read the last few pages if you want details.

I have a really stupid question: How do I turn and excel chart into a jpeg? Do I just take a screenshot?

I've been reading everything there is on the issue...

I copied the graphs and pasted them into powerpoint then saved them as a jpeg. Likely a better way but it worked just fine for me.

Updated OP

So after much pressing I finally got the Wastgate Valve Conversion performed. This is a log of the wastegate DC after the conversion. Not quite the same as original software but a significant improvement over the non-converted wastegate DC.

Here's a plot with boost pressure and throttle position. Not sure why there are so many blips in the throttle. It must blip to shift, or to send pressure back through the diverter valves. I can't see your latest plot.
