Exclamation Dont Buy From Sweettalker

I ordered some HID's from him. I specifically told him I wanted 35W h8 bulbs in 8000K. When I first got them, he sent me h7's and I had to pay to ship them back. When he sent the next pair out, they were 55W h11's. Once again, not what I ordered. He try's to tell me that they are exactly the same bulb. Thats funny because well uhh, they aren't. The base is different and the prongs on the h11 are different then the prongs on the h8 let alone the difference in wattage from a 55W to a 35W. He is a horrrribbbbllleee seller and I would not recomend anyone to buy or sell anything from him.

Just as I told you over email, bulbs do not control the wattages. The ballasts control the wattage. I have contacted several HID manufactures and they are telling me H8/h11 is the same bulb and they do not make a separate h8.

If I remember correctly H8 and H11 look identical EXCEPT the prongs are slightly different. You should also understand basic electrical principles, you are right bulbs don't dictate the wattage, however the resistance is different!

Plain and Simple... You should provide your buyer with what they ordered and quit playing the shell game.

Really? Are you serious? Did you even read my post?

Wow, people jumping on the bandwagon. Research before you guys talk crap.

HID manufactures MAKE h8/h11 bulbs. THEY MAKE ONE BULB for that application.
There is no separate h8 h11 bulbs. There is one bulb for both sizes.
I sent him what he bought. He bought H8, I sent him H8. If he bought h11, I would have stilll sent the same bulb because there is one bulb for those sizes. PERIOD.

What kind of game am I playing? He ordered it, I sent it. I even verified with manufactures, not one but THREE. One in China, two in US.

They are different bulbs man. The wattage is completely different and the bases are slightly different.

H8: These single-filament 35w bulbs are found in some late-model fog lamps. Like the H9 and H11, they can be very difficult to find in the aftermarket. It is tempting to install a higher-power H11 in place of an H8, but doing so will result in dangerous levels of glare, melted fog lamps and overheated wiring.

What was he talking about ballasts controlling the wattage? I thought the h8/h11's are incandescent and don't use a ballast...

Correct, bulbs do not control the wattages, ballasts do. I keep repeating it over and over. These are HID bulbs, not halogen bulbs.

I missed the whole HID things. Sweettalker is actually right about the HID part. They make two different wattages for regular halogen H8 and H11 bulbs (35w and 55w respectively). For HID's they are the same bulbs.

Thanks for all the input guys! This guy is out of his mind. Just wanted to let everyone know so he doesnt rip someone else off. I told him I would like to get what I ordered or I would like a refund and he tries to tell me I'm trying to commit fraud. What a loser. Oh and just in case he tries to change his name.. his number is (213)220-7160

You do remember correctly, I even sent him pictures of how they were different.

Funny how you quote everyone that was on your side but you fail to quote the ONE guy who was saying I had the correct info.

I am not out of my mind. I didn't rip you off. You got what you ordered. Your ignorance is just having a hard time accepting the facts. You wanted to reverse the charge while keeping the item THAT is committing a fraud. Posting my number online is real mature as well as the name calling. For anyone that cares or want to educate him, his number is 805)300-2150.

Sweetalker seems to not be getting the point. Whichever bulbs he sent me, I dont give a shit whether he claims the manufacturer only makes one bulb for h8/h11, do not fit an h8 housing. I specifically asked for an h8 35W bulb and the bulb I received was not that. THE PRONGS ARE DIFFERENT. God this is what happens when you deal with idiots without a college degree that resort to selling shit on the internet. It pisses me off first, cause this guy does not own a BMW and is trying to sell stuff when he has no knowledge of the cars. Second, he must be blind to see the prongs are different. At this point I'm not even upset about the money, what I paid for them is pocket change. It just pisses me off how we have idiots like sweetalker roaming the forum and let alone living in the same f'ing country as me. Go back to your country

Are you sure the housing on your HID retrofit kit isn't incorrect and you were in fact sent the correct item?
