Buyers beware of user "k3silk" (Chazroyrie Smith)

Hey everyone. I just wanted to let you know of my latest transaction with user "k3silk". I placed an ad for wanting to buy a Alpine White Aero Lip. He responded and said his was brand new and oem and never installed it so I paypaled him $372.86. Long story short the lip was a replica that did not fit right and "k3silk" tells me it is not his fault and that I should contact "Frank@M-Force_Design" for a refund or replacement.

Here is what I wrote to paypal for my claim:

I bought a brand new "Aero Lip" from www.e90post.com off user k3silk . He assured me that the lip was brand new and oem. When I received the lip it was brand new and I proceeded to install it. The lip did not fit my car right as there was gaps all over the place.

I took it to my car shop and they told me it was a fake and a replica of the real product. I contacted the seller and he told me he was just telling me what the person told him who he bought it from. I contacted the seller he bought it from and he also told me it is a fake and replica. Now the seller refuses to give me a refund even though it is fake and does not fit right. I have all messages between me and the seller and pictures to show it does not fit.

Everyone do not deal with this guy. Pretty shady.

His name is: Chazroyrie Smith

At least he sent you something and didn't leave you nothing. Also, look for FS ads, not post WTBs.

lol he k3silk said it's brand new and OEM but he bought it from Frank@M-Force_Design...

Everyone knows they sell reps only. He needs to refund your money cause he lied about it being OEM.

Paypal emailed me within 5 minutes and said they only cover the shipment of goods and not the quality received and they ended the claim? Wtf? Is this possible?

If you paid with a credit card (always a good idea with an online transaction) and not directly from your bank account, you can file a claim with your credit card company. They will likely be much more receptive to your complaint than Paypal.

when a buyer uses the "not as described" claim with paypal, they always lose. Its an automated respnse as soon as the seller hits the escalate claim button. Your only hope is to file a claim saying you didnt get it(too late in your case)..but that wont work out well if there was a tracking number showing u signed for it..you would probably lose that too. On the other hand if a buyer buys something and theres no tracking, he can say he never got the item and paypal will refund him so he gets something for nothing. In the end, the system is a joke and anyone can fuck over anyone else..But as a buyer yer best bet is to just do a chargeback. You will probably lose your paypal account, but thats your only option.

not be a dick or seem unethical but ive been screwed so many times via paypal that i finally got revenge and fucked them every way possible. With that said, i know how their system works and the best advice i can give you is use your chargeback option with your credit card, so long as you paid with it and not your paypal balance.

Your credit card will issue your refund back 99 % of the time.

No worries, if you paid with cc your only LOSS in this transaction was time and frustration.

Good luck and if you need any more help feel free to pm me.

if you paid with your credit card, call them and do a charge-back, you'll get your money back.

I guess I am wondering you think why Paypal SHOULD get involved in claims? They are only in the business of transferring money, they are not a credit card company which promises to do chargebacks to vendors, etc.

I don't think they are ONLY in the business of transferring money, because then why wouldn't every party just transfer directly to another party's bank account? It would be the same thing, but without the Paypal fees. What you get for the Paypal fee is supposed to be the security that Paypal adds to your transaction. However, seeing all the complaints about them lately, I get the sense this isn't working out too well.

Please tell me you're kidding. So if you send me 5k out of your bank account for a rolex watch and I send you some knockoff, paypal shouldn't do anything about it? That's ridiculous. There has to be some type of protection for the buyer.

BTW, I am not here to complain about paypal even though they are the shadiest company ever. I paid from my paypal balance so I am basically screwed. I just want everyone to be aware of "k3silk"

Paypal's security is very clearly documented in the TOS.

As to why people don't just transfer money to one another without PayPal, that's because our banking system isn't really set up that way. In austria and germany, that is how the banking system is set up and how it's done.

Post his personal info so when the next person who does a transaction with him and they Google his contact info, they'll see this!

That is a good idea. I PMed him to see if we can work something out. If he declines then I will proceed to doing that. Thanks

I always try to do a search for the person's user name and personal info before I purchase or sell something.

Yes, I know, and I believe part of it says that they'll try to work things out. However, this system only really works when used in conjunction with ebay.

I don't feel like your second statement is true. I log-in to my account online, I enter the bank name and account number of the person I want to transfer the money to, and I click "Transfer." I mean, it doesnt get easier than that. I've done it a few times with friends after someone pre-pays expenses for a trip, etc. I recall there might be a $1 charge for the convenience, but that's usually nothing compared the the 3% paypal charges.

Anyway, this add's nothing to OP's original post. OP, hope you get this figured out in your favor!
