So I noticed 2 dings today. Sucks but oh well. What can you do. What is the suggested approach to fixing 2 dings in this location? They're small, right in the middle. It's over the rear left tire on the flat part of the flare.

Picture is really small so it's tough to see the dings. PDR is an option if it's not too close to the edge. It's cheap, safe, quick, and easy.

Man, I did park far away. I just got my car back from getting a new bumper 'cause some prius lady backed into me in a parking lot. So it's been 1 f'n week. The picture was for reference, not a pic of my car. My car is now in the shop for new fuel injectors.

Honestly I dont understand how other people care so little about their vehicles. Never fails....when I park in a crowded parking lot I get dinged.... Getting two fixed today. I usually go out of my way to park AWAY from others...

Curious how I got 2 dings right next to each other. It's almost like it was on purpose. I mean, how do you not know there's a car next to you and open the door with such force you f up someone elses car?

Some years ago, I was out in the middle of nowhere, like a really remote rural area. Stopped in at this little country Post Office, just to check it out. The parking lot was totally empty except for 1 other car that arrived AFTER I had parked. While I was getting back into my new Tundra truck to leave, some lady backs into it and dented the corner of my bumper and paint. There was ACRES OF PARKING LOT!!! and she had to park opposite of my truck, then hit it while backing up.

Seems like that would be a dictionary definition for "lame".

This kind of stuff seriously makes make me angry. I pulled into the zoo one time found a spot where one side was curbed, and hugged that bitch. As I'm still in the back getting kids ready, some dumb arses pull up on the line hit my Pathfinder. WITH BOTH IF THEIR SUBURBAN DOORS! I jump out, WTF! "oh sorry". they pull the door in, and hit me again when they actually get out....

I also go to watch them do it again as we were leaving because they left just before we did.

Kidding of course, but it must have been tough to restrain yourself. Not sure I would have been able to resist opening my mouth..

I just bought my car and it has a couple of small dents I want taken out. I plan on going the PDR route, but while looking for one, I found recommendations to use dry ice and take the dent out yourself. It doesn't sound like it works 100%, but I'm willing to spend a few bucks on dry ice and give it a shot.

I have seen video's of that. I think it works better with bigger dents, then with tiny dings.

Oh I jumped and as soon as they saw me "Sorry"... before they did it again. Nothing I could have done civilly... And there was no "Real" damage.

Followup: I spent $2.24 on a block of dry ice. I had two dings in my car.
The color is Montego Blue, which gets REALLY hot in the sun (you want the spot you're treating to be very hot).
I went out today, an 85 degree sunny day here in Tucson.
The first dent, on the hood, is an 'outie', where it looks like the damage occurred from underneath the hood. It's a crease ~1 1/2 inches long but not too high. The dry ice didn't seem to do very much for it.
The second dent, on the top of the trunk, is an 'innie', and looks like your standard door ding. It is a bit deep and ~1 inch in dimeter. The dry ice removed ~80% of it and now it's much shallower and barely noticable. Still there, but barely noticable.

I put the dry ice in the freezer and will try it again later. I'm hoping to get a bit more of the hood dent out; I'm happy with the trunk dent and wouldn't spend the money on PDR for it now that it's so much smaller.

I have two dings in the same area of the wheel well. They are serious dings too, the kind that make you want to hunt that person down and beat them with a door panel.
Anyway, I tried paintless dent removal and was told that due the the double wall in the wheel well /fender area they could not do the repair. The dealership kindly offered to fill the dings with body putty, sand and paint the area and blend it with rest of the car for the small fee of $700.
For now I am living with the dings but does anyone know if there is another technique that can beused in that area?
