How much should i pay?

I just bought a new double din dash kit, a kit to relocate my head unit into my trunk and a double din nav. How much should i have to pay to get all of this installed?

Well, to get someone who knows what they're doing, you will pay a lot.

What audio system do you have?

+1 A proper install will be a good day's work. What does a good local area specialty shop charge per hour in your location?

You may want to reconsider your choice. For me, it looks way to aftermarket

I think these only look good in certain cars like the X-Terra where the unit fills the entire opening

or this GTO

Here is another BMW instal. I still think it looks tacky

And, one last time, tell us which audio system is in your car from the factory:

base stereo, HiFi, Top HiFi (Logic 7/HK depending on MY)

Are you still asking how much you should spend? Instead, you should perhaps ask whether what you are planning on doing is a good idea or not...

We answered that a while back. Figure a day's labor at a competent shop. The $$ depends on labor rates in your area.

I would say somewhere in the neighborhood of 800 dollars. Looks like a PITA. Bring a grand for those unexpected expenses.

That sounds about right... relocating the OEM HU should take at least 1 hour without MOST, add another hour if MOST and that's assuming that this installer has done this before and he has a pre-made harness and all the MOST parts available on site.

If not then double the labor.

And this is before doing the double DIN install.
