Is that one of those buffers with the two handles on the side and the round motor centered over the pad? If so, then the buffer is trash and the pads are dangerous.

You'll have to buy a German equivalent though or do some extensive testing on speeds. These things run on alternating current and the cycles in Germany are different. A transformer (you'll need the big bertha for this) will lower the voltage but will not change the cycles. Accordingly, the buffer will run about 20% slow so you'll need to fiddle with it to get the proper speeds.

Stay away from those autostore buffers with the motor on top - they are really bad.

the only time a buffer of that nature is good is when you are doing large areas at a time like a motorhome and you just simply need to spread wax over a large area. I would not use it on anything with a clear coat.
