Best starter kit for a newbie
So I'm slated to take delivery of my vehicle in less than 2 weeks and needless to say, I'm stoked. However, this will be the first car that I'm actually going to take an interest in maintaining and keeping it looking nice. That being said, I'm kind of a newb when it comes to washing and detailing.
I've read through a few threads on the forum (including Detailing 101, learned a lot from that one!) and have gotten some good ideas on where to start. I'm a bit hesitant to try the zaino that everyone raves about, because it is a little expensive (looking at the total and ultimate kits). I found a few kits on amazon that were relatively inexpensive and pretty comprehensive. My question is which of these kits (or something different altogether) would you recommend to a detailing beginner? Meguiar's Complete Car Care Kit http://www.amazon.com/Meguiars-Compl...7&sr=8-2-spell Meguiar's Classic Wash and Wax http://www.amazon.com/Meguiars-Class...7&sr=8-3-spell Meguiar's NXT Kit http://www.amazon.com/Meguiars-NXT-W...7211827&sr=8-4 Mothers Hardcore Kit http://www.amazon.com/Mothers-Hardco...7211894&sr=8-7 Anything you would add to any of these? Thanks in advance for the help! |

Lots of good info here: http://www.detailedimage.com/
For value, Klasse All In One (step 1) and Klasse SG (step 2) are hard to beat. Also, while more expensive, the Dino Juice stuff (wheel cleaner, car wash, quick detail) will last a lot longer than over the counter stuff. |

The NXT kit is good. I loved using the NXT Tech was a few weeks ago and the Ultimate Quik Detailer is great. Just used that today and had great results.
