335d owners with BT?

Hi,

I just wondering is there anyone having stock or modifed 335d and Bavarian Technic Diagnostic Tool? I would like to compare some parameters with my 335d.

For example with my stock 335d:

max. desired boost is 1,759 bar
max. actual boost 2,01 bar
max. engine torque 548 Nm @ 3081 rpm
max. calculated engine torque 614 Nm @ 2272 rpm
absolute pressure in DPF filter 1-1,2 bar
soot mass is DPF filter ~27 g

And these parameters after Evolve reflash:

max. desired boost is 2,01 bar
max. actual boost 2,15 bar
max. engine torque 594 Nm @ 2255 rpm
max. calculated engine torque 650 Nm @ 2255 rpm
DPF filter parameters are the same

So guys what do you think?

For me it's strange why Evolve raises boost only 0,2 bar? Before reflash I had problems with jammed DPF filter, but after manual regeneration things get much better. If anyone have BT and 335d, could you please check absolute pressure and soot mass in your DPF filter? Also what should be stock 335d boost pressure? And what boost do you have after Evolve remap?

Many thanks!

Hmm... Is there any 335d owners who know a little bit more about their cars?

Send a pm to Ron1n, he has a JBD. I don't know if he will have access to the info you're seeking.

A question for you: what oil are you using? I'm curious in the context of your problems with the DPF.

On your remap, what they did on your DPF? Can you see the miles counter left on the check control?

Thanks

I don't believe the JBD data will be of any use to the OP since it just tricks the ECU into seeing normal values so, the data pulled from the ECU will likely look very similar to a stock vehicle.

OP, there aren't many people in the US running reflashes on their d. You may want to try asking in the european subforum.

Edit: I also just realized most of this thread is a year old.

I,m pretty sure the JBD doesnt touch the boost levels. Just enrichment.

I can't get my BT to see actual values on anything to save my life. Don't know if I'm doing something wrong, or just not setting it up properly.

JBD doesn't touch boost, because it doesn't hook in to the boost sensor. Some other tunes do for the d, but not the JBD.

Mike
I didn't think about it only altering the rail pressure signal on the d. I agree that the boost data should be correct then with the JBD but, I'm certain as a product of that it is altering boost by some amount as Mike said in the quoted post. Even if it is only the ECU shifting the boost to a value it thinks is acceptable for the fueling it is being tricked into supplying. I am a little curious that I can't find even a ballpark amount of how much anywhere.
