Leatherette crack repair

I have two hairline cracks in the left seat bolster of the drive seat...the cracks are about 1/2 inch long and they Have not penetrated all the way through yet...the four year warranty expires January 2011, has anybody had such Problem repaired under warranty in Canada, and if possible specifically in Mississauga, if yes please share dealership name...alternatively, are there any repair kits that you can buy say at Walmart or CT that you've had good experience with?

Had an inch crack in the 'ette which was getting pretty deep. BMW replaced seat bolster under warranty

It seems like these seats dont hold up too well over the long term. I'm at 2.5 years, and they are already starting to crack

You guys have to condition the leatherette with Mequairs Vinyl and Rubber care in the tan bottle. Never had an issue since doing this.

Same problem in the same place on my '09. The dealer in Halifax will replace the upholstery for the seat back under warranty. The dealer made no fuss at all about doing this. Definitely talk with your dealer.

Just an update, took my car to dealer and they fixed it, no questions asked...they outsource this kind of work to a place called Barry's Upholstery in Mississauga...

My car was 3 years old upon lease return and the seats looked brand new. Leatherette is durable stuff, clean it and treat it with 303 or Optimum Protectant once in a while and it looks brand new.

This. I've treated 'ette in the past with 303 and it looks brand new after years. Definitely holds up better than leather.
