Question regarding dvd touch screen.

Hello, I was wondering if any of you guys have installed dvd touch screen.
I did some research, but I could not find post regarding touch screen, they were mostly about sound systems.
Someone told me that I lose sounds (e.g. when the car door is open or when the seat belt is not fasten), but is this true?
Should I expect anything else if I install the touch screen?
