Tischer's shipping fees are outrageous

$15 to ship an ignition coil? PLUS a $5 "handling fee"?? So I paid $20 in shipping for a $45 item? Give me a break. What in the world is a handling fee for anyway? I thought handling fees were only charged by those cheesy products that "are not available in stores!"

Just charge me more for the product and get rid of the bull$hit. Shipping fees should cover the cost of shipping and handling fees are just flat out insulting.

The opposite is amazon Prime. I got it one month on a trial, and everytime I need something, it comes UPS or FedEx 2-day (actually everything has come overnight) for free! But I'm planning on canceling before the $79 yearly charge. I decided it to try because my wife needed these exam/cram books, and none of the local bookstores even carry it. Didn't want to pay overnight shipping, so voila, amazon prime got it there overnight for free.

My Nissan source that had free shipping for over 7 years dried up, it was a dealership that gave 30% off list and free shipping. It's really not profitable for them when they eat the shipping, esp. on large items that are cheap.

Does anything bring you joy?? You seem to complain and get fired up about everything.

What's grinding your gears?

Didn't they just change their shipping prices to a flat price based on how much you spend?

I bought a engine undertray from them, big fiberglass thing that goes by the ecu covers and air filter...I think shipping was like $15...thing weighs about 8-10lbs too...maybe 5ft. by 12" by 1" box.

I thought that was pretty cheap.

haha, its nice to have good prices for oem parts but it's just insulting to pay a damn handling fee. Come on! Handling fees don't strike you as ridiculous?

And yes, my Kia Sedona rental brings me joy!

I'm sure Tischer will chime in here soon. I haven't dealt with them so I can't comment. However, on a somewhat related note, has anyone notice the "convenience charge" that Ticket Master charges?? Now THAT is ridiculous.

Example, ticket is $55 + $25 "convenience fee"= $80. lol

sometimes if you're buying a cheap part it might be cheaper to just pick it up at your dealer. I know when I usually buy stuff from tischer I get an $8 shipping fee which at times would be comparable to what it is at my dealer with tax but then again I am friends with one of the SAs and he usually gives me a discount.

The thing is that they don't show you the charge upfront and charge it later..
I got charged $25.90 for 3 day shipping for a single hood shock.. That thing is so small...

+1 That's my biggest complaint with Tischer. You are not given at least an estimate of the shipping & handling charge.

It's a flat rate of 150 to ship the front bumper in the CONUS. I would email evan before placing an order to find out approx shipping charges. He replies really fast.

I've been dealing with Tischer over the past few weeks, and I am not disputing that the shipping fees are a bit high.

On the other hand, Evan has helped me out tremendously as I've been going through some install pains on a few things, and looked up parts for me on things that I didn't purchase from them. He's been an invaluable asset and timely in his replies, hence, to me it's worth paying them a bit more. Last time, I had inadvertently ordered 1 nut when I needed 4, and thought it was their mistake. He sent me them for free along with my next order.

Customer service means something to me, and when people treat me very well at a restaurant, I tip them very well. I see this as something similar, and will continue doing business with them for most of my parts.

To each, his/her own.

They make their money on the shipping fee, that is for sure.

Oh well, people are dumb enough to keep paying.

What got me is when they raped me on shipping later on. Thought I was getting a half decent deal at first.

Fooled me once, shame on me.

If you want to get your parts cheap, just get friendly with someone that works at the dealer, throw them a few bucks extra for going out of their way, thats my .02
