JB Diesel Tuner 335D with Video

Hello,
My wife just handed me my bday present last night. Well at first the only thing I got was season six of Entourage. Still a good present but as I was about to watch the first disc she gave me another box. You guessed right the JB Tuner and BT Scan tool . The car is just plain faster than a bat out of hell. The roads were wet last night so I did not lay into the throttle to much. Right now I have the box @ 85% no codes and Like I said just plain fast. My wife was even blow away at how fast the car is. All and all it was a great bday as I have one more year left in my twenties.

Nice!
Is the overall smoothness / predictability of the car affected?

You are one lucky guy! I was just looking into the JB chip for my d as well. Let us know how it is. How was the install process? Did you notice and change in efficiency? Does it sound different? Let us know!! This sounds like a great mod to do.

Your wife sound amazing btw, shes a keeper! Did you hint at this? How did she know to get it? Happy b-day btw! Enjoy

The install is very easy. The only hard part is the driver side back engine cover bolt. I have the dial turned up to 85% and all good as of now. Some cars I heard throw codes at 50% other not. Going to turn it up to 100% in the next couple of days. She does have a sister but she is married and not nearly as cool as my wife. I did hint that I wanted this and I just printed the page with the ordering info. She told me pick out a couple of things I would want I guess to throw me off. The car drives the same around town and sounds the same. Still smooth as in stock form and. The car does feel more response overall and once you lay into the power watch out. I will keep you guys updated when I turn up the tuner. Thanks for the bday wished.

Still curious if anyone has tried Meth Injection on their Diesel?

My 335d is still on the way here from Germany. Can't wait to get some instrumented testing done on it. Its going to be very nice car. Msport/Convenience/Premium/Harmon Kardon/Heated Seats/Fold down seats. Came out to a little over $57K, but there was a $4500 eco credit

The market for BMW diesel tuning is in its infancy in the U.S.. It might be possible to find some info on methanol injection on Audis or VWs, but I haven't seen anything on BMWs thus far.

i'm still curious on what the tune actually does. does it increase boost and adjust fuel/timing? or does it optimize just fuel/timing per xx psi...

Diesels don't have timing but the JBD raises the boost slightly and increases the fueling. The result is better throttle response, great power gains, and a big grin post install.

I had my 335i in for turbo replacement and they gave me a 2011 335d as a loaner. Man the torque curve on it is awesome, I can't imagine how it pulls with the chip! Congrats on the birthday gift

Here is a run with the JB @ 100%

Also if you look at this video of a tuned 2010 S4 From 60-100 MPH vs the JB 335D,
pretty close in acceleration unless my eyes are really bad.
