CR Spotless - Sam's Club - $244 Shipped
Last weekend, I enjoyed the convenience of pouring a few gallons of distilled water over my car after washing and rinsing with tap water, and drying at a relaxed pace (was going to apply Zaino, otherwise I wouldn't have dried it). Not a single water spot anywhere. Even the spots that dried before I got to it... flawless.
So, I must consider buying a CR Spotless system. If it eases the painful drying process, I'm all for it. Sam's Club has a CR Spotless system that isn't even on the CR website. It's like a half-version of the one Costco has (DIC-20) for ~$356... but for only $244. I'd like the lower up-front cost, and I don't think I am missing out on anything down the road. I believe the per-gallon price is the same, as the refill bags are the same price. The only thing I am losing out on is the capacity. Right? Just want to make sure I am not missing anything by going with the less expensive unit. Thanks! |

Costco one is a much better deal IMO. Not only is it bigger, but it includes 4 times as much Resin. You get both canisters filled up with resin, and 2 refill bags(one canister uses one bag).

If you have really hard well water you can burn up those resins in 100 gallons or less. If you have really soft water it can take thousands of gallons.

Also, you can also reserve the CR spotless just for final rinses if you want to conserve water. That way you're only running a couple gallons through it each time.
