Another fitment question: E91/18"

Hi All,

New to the forums signing in.

I've spent quite a bit of time browsing through all of your previous wheel/fitment threads and I'm very grateful for all the useful info! Despite, I've not yet found the confidence to go for what I'm planning. My situation is this: I've recently bought a second hand 330d E91 2006 with M factory suspension and aero's. The car's complete with a set of summer tires: 245/40/18 (front) and 265/35/18 (rear) but NO WHEELS.

I'd like to get me a set of Beyern Mesh rims, but I'm a bit uncertain about the fit. What I'm struggling with is the offsets. My plan is to get a staggered 18x8.5" (front) and 18x9.5" (rear). Any educated info on the offsets will be appreciated - I'm aiming for a flush fit with NO rub and NO fender modification.

The 18" Beyern Mesh comes in the following dimensions:
18"-8.5-ET15
18"-8.5-ET30
18"-8.5-ET40
18"-9.5-ET15
18"-9.5-ET25
18"-9.5-ET30
18"-9.5-ET45

What would you say is the best looking (flush) setup given that the suspension is factory M and that I want no rub? Do you think a bigger offset paired with spacers would be safer or should I go with the "actual desired" offset right away?

EDIT:
I just came across VMR V710 (http://www.velocitymotoring.com/wheels_v710.html) which will definitely be an option. They come in the same widths, but with slightly different offsets:
18-8.5-ET20
18-8.5-ET35
18-9.5-ET22
18-9.5-ET33
18-9.5-ET45

These rims are definitely a consideration as well.

Thanks!

You'll be perfect with:
8.5" width up front with offset of 30-35
9.5" width for the rear with offset of 33-35

Beyern Mesh:
18x8.5 ET30, even though 235/40/18 would be a better tire size with ET30.
18x9.5 ET30

V710:
18x8.5 ET35
18x9.5 ET33

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the replies. Your specs turned out to be quite the same as I had expected

Anyone with the above mentioned setups: Please chime in and let me know how it's working!

Anyone with input to the contrary of what's been suggested here - also write up!

Thanks!

i have breytons 18x8.5et30 and 18x9.5et32, with 225 40 front and 255 35 rear. for me the tires look too stretched so im going 235 front and 265 rear i really want to go 245 275 but dont want to chance it besides the fact that there is no need for that huge tire in the rear of a 325. but if i could do it over i would go 18x8.5 et 25 all around because my wheels could still come out another 1/4 inch with 235 40 so i could rotate them. i just dont see the need for a staggered setup there are no advantages to it that i can see.

We have had a handful of customers do the 8.5 +35 and 9.5 +33 with 235/265 setups. This is a direct bolt-on fitment and will be flush on all 4 corners of the car without the need of any kind of spacers or aftermarket hardware.

Feel free to shoot me a PM if you have any further questions.

Thanks Charles@VMRWheels,

Sounds very good. I think your V710 looks stunning and it's great to hear that the offsets work for the 2006 E91.

I'll PM you as soon as I get my account upgraded (new member, 5 post req). Looks like I need to spam a couple of threads to get there
