Spacer Help
So I have an E92 328i on stock suspension and stock 17" unstaggered wheels.
(sorry, no pictures right now [3:30am] of the wheels/fender gaps) What I hate are that the wheels are far from flush with the fenders, so I need some/a lot of advice! I'm a newb. Would spacers be the ideal solution aside from new wheels to give me a better look? Would they compromise performance or safety (I assume they will actually improve performance due to the wider track width)? Is there any reason I should NOT add spacers? I will never be using snow chains or anything. Is there anything in particular that I should look for or avoid when purchasing spacers? I am currently reading random online content about this, but I wouldn't feel comfortable in purchasing until some of you guys (people I trust) chime in. Thanks much guys! |

I also found a video that tells me I should add weight to compress the suspension before I measure anything. Should I fill the car up with people and maybe another person sitting on the trunk to compensate for things like hard bumps in the road? Also, does anyone know if I will need to also buy longer bolts than what I already have? |
