Need Advice on buying a ATV

Hey guys, since this recent blizzard I had the urge to try saving up for an ATV. I'm looking for a moderately fast one for a decent price.

I was looking into Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki and Suzuki.
Also in terms of CC, what should I look at ?? Is 250cc slow? tops out at 45mph?
I mean I dont need like a 600 or 700cc considering the high price and won't need to be going that fast anyways.

If anyone has any experiences with them or any advice as to which brand to buy or other information feel free to post it =).

Anyway - do you want sport quad or utility?
sport = fast, 2wd, fun
utility = slow, 4wd, boring!

Sport - Honda TRX-450R
Utility - Polaris Sportsman 700 H.O.

if you get a half-decent one, a utility ATV isn't that slow...that can do like 55-60MPH

if you live in an urban area i would not recommend getting an ATV at all..cops will be on you like white on rice, you gotta have your own private place upstate or out on LI to ride

Get a snowmobile. I had an ex 400 and a Quadzilla in my youth, both major fun......But why does everybody want a quad after a major snowstorm? lol Trust me dude, you will get into nothing but trouble any other time of year with a quad. I can not tell you how many tickets my friends and family members got in the past while riding quads recreationally around our neighborhoods. I mean if you have massive amounts of private property, go for it. Otherwise, its prob a waste of money unless you get a work quad like a Polaris and use it to lug firewood and shit! lol skip it and save for mods.
