Anyone know how to remove plastic Seat trim??

This right here. i went realoem.com and they have a diagram but still i have no clue how to get it off....felt around underneath with my fingers and i feel some clips i tried to unhinge, which it did, but it was still on pretty tight..

this plastic is squeaking like mad...need to put some padding in there.

Take a look at realoem - that may give you a hint...

Here's e46 diy. see if you can get some points on generally removing a seat and modify as you see.

Did someone figure this out? I saw the post for the e46, and it helped a bit. There are clips, but it seem like there is something else holding the cover on near the switch assembly.

please someone chime in.i would love to know how to take this off....save me a trip to dealer....i do feel clips underneath but when i try to press them in and pry, it wont budge...dont want to crack and rip the plastic off.....for sure it can probably be taken off if u remove the entire seat but thats a hassle too...gotta be an easier way....i mean, how do those people who replace the plastic with the CF trim do it?

Just take the seat out first, and then you'll see where to pry to get it off.

If it works the same as the non-electric sports seats you'll have to:

1. Remove the negative battery lead
2. Wait for a few minutes (we don't want any fault-codes)
3. Remove torx screws from front and back of seatrails
4. Push seat backwards in order to see to seatbottom
5. Remove wiring from junction-box
6. Lift seat out

You probably have to remove the seat adjustment modules first and then the whole sidecover. Get an L-shaped "pick" to pry the "nails" up on the backside of the sidecover.

It should't be much of a hassle, maybe half an hour of work.

This linked thread has the pdf that is most helpful for this procedure. I am just updating this thread because this one is the most frequently returned via google searches and doesn't have the most relevant info:
