Mine works fine with the volume controls. The voice commands are not controllable though.

Sorry I can't help, but the volume works fine with my bluetooth also (Treo 650). What phone do you have and did you try the volume knob on the stereo also?

My BT volume goes up with both the steering wheel and the volume control on the stereo. Like the OP mentions, it doesn't go up nearly high enough.

I agree...I have a Treo 650 and when using the bluetooth feature the volume is way too low. With an open window or AC on relatively high, I can barely hear people even when maxing out the volume.

Something else you might want to try is adjusting the "headset" volume on your actual phone, since to your phone, its just a bluetooth headset.

Good point. Set you phone volume high to throw a better signal.

I guess it would depend on how much the window is open (I normally have mine closed unless I'm going real slow). At freeway speeds and above I have no problem at all hearing people. I don't even have it up all the way. The volume on the phone is turned up all the way, but I don't know if that makes a difference.
