Sirius/XM merger

I hear that Sirius and XM are close to announcing a merger. Since I did not order sat radio when I bought the car because I already have an XM subscription, does anyone have info on the cost of a retrofit?

once they merge, likely both systems will be operational. They probably will use bothe set of sattelites and recievers. That's the only way to guarantee subsrciptions won't be lost. If your XM is prtoable, you should be fine. If not...depending on whether your sat prepped or not....

Thanks for the links but I do not think either deals with the question of cost.

My car is sat prepped, I wanted to know what it would cost to retrofit.

Right now there is only a 50-50 chance the merger will actually go through, in fact, most observers don't even think it has that good of a chance. Whatever happens, it will be a long time before you have to worry about any of this.
