Hi guys. Due to road conditions and certain forum members (namely Tim - Brism3) b!tching about some child's birthday party clashing with our cruise we have decided to move the cruise to Saturday the 26th of Feb and change the route to a Gold Coast Hinterland route.

I have created a new thread as the old cruise had changed dates so many times and now with a change of route i figured there would be some confusion.

Date: Saturday the 26th of February

Time: 10:30am meet for a 11am leave

What to bring:
All the obvious stuff including:
Your car
A map or GPS in case you get lost
A CB radio if you have one
Any friends with European cars
A good attitude
A full tank of petrol or 3 in Tim's case.

Unfortunately i am not going to have the time to test the route, however Jerome (The_J_factor) has confirmed the roads are in good condition and knows the route. For this reason the leading will be shared on the day by Jerome and myself.

I was going to supply a BBQ lunch on the day but now that the drive is in GC it means the meat would need to travel for 3 hours and i'm unsure of a suitable location to stop. For this reason we will be stopping at Murwillumbah shopping centre where there is a KFC among other cafes.

Below is the attendance list from the previous cruise which was taking place on the 27th. I will send out a PM to everyone but please let me know if you can make it. To keep numbers accurate I am going to put "confirmed" next to those people i am certain are coming. If there isn't a "confirmed" next to your name and you plan on attending, please let me know

Its really important to note that I have never travelled any of these roads and don't have a copilot so I'm relying on my GPS which i have programmed the route into. Sometimes it works flawlessly and other times it doesn't... For this reason I ask that you are all patient with me tomorrow, should I need to pull over and get my bearings.

I have created a page of directions, which are simplified down from what google maps gives you but the measurements will not be completely accurate. I also have no idea where the car park is to stop for lunch. I recommend that everyone has a good look at the route (by clicking on the map on page 1) to familiarise yourself. Please DO NOT just rely on following the car in front.

This cruise isn't as organised as I would like it to be, in an ideal world I would have travelled the route at least 2-3 times so i know it well. Unfortunately, this wasn't possible on this occasion. Having said that I'm confident that we will have an exciting drive with little to no navigation dramas.

Great photos sam,didn't get a change to talk to you on the cruise that day,we did'nt settle down for too long and we were on the move again.
