What tires to replace stock M-Sport summers?

For all you X-Drive people. I assume you have X-drive for adverse weather conditions. What tires are you running since the ones that came stock on the M-Sport suck ass?? Thanks!

Bite the bullet and get a second set of rims with dedicated winter tires. All seasons are a compromise in all conditions.

As far as winter tires go, I have personally driven on michelin pilot alpin pa3's, and the blizzak RFT's and both did well.

Went the other route and got Conti Extreme Weather Contact and a set of 284 rims. If you purchased your car, I would recommend this.

If I were going all season, DWS would be high on the list. I really only trust Conti >> Michelin > Bridgestone

I bought the Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D and the MSW Type 22 rims ($108 ea) from tire rack. Unbelievable traction in the snow and on dry pavement!

I got the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S and have been very happy with them. Great ride all year.

I bought a used OEM BMW rims from a 328 and my OEMs for summer the M-Pack comes with Micheline PS2 which are better than the Bridgestone I think the regular tire for the non-M-pack.

I refuse to run my good 18" rims in PA winter/salt roads - so I picked up a new set of cheaper 17" wheels and Blizzak WS70's from TireRack for my winter setup on my 328ix...
