2 recalls on 335i???
Hey all, I just got a voicemail from my dealer that my 2007 was being recalled for 2 different things. I haven't been able to speak with anyone at the dealer yet, but do youguys know what the recall is about? I'm guessing one of them is for the hpfp but no idea what the other one could be.
Anyone else get a call from their dealer recently?

Again? I just had them done in the fall. Only put 1000 miles on the car since they were changed. Oh well, guess I'll get some newer ones!

I know about the hpfp recall. The SA didn't say anything about injectors?? They just told me about the re-program which my car didn't take. They are looking to replace something. Took it in for service last fri, they still have it....i miss my 335i... the loaner doesn't do it...

They only replace injectors if they are of a specific part number. If you already got them replaced with the good part number, you won't get them again.

Well one recall is the hpfp... but it is already on BACKORDER!!!!!!!!! WTF???????????? How can you recall a hpfp and have it on backorder already??? what a joke this has become
The other recall is a software recall. Anyone know what this is about? Am I going to get more lag now like with 29.2?? or is that issue finally solved?

N54 Programming HDP, B13 09 10 N54 Injector Check, B13 14 10 N54 HDP, B13 13 10 It is for the injectors and it is to reprogram them only if they are actually changed. It depends on the part number but they seem to be calling in cars from mid-2007 to Dec 2008 build dates. Apparently, this can lead to HPFP problems as it was explained to me. Again, it depends on your part # and the only way for them to check is to take the head off and go right to the rails. As far as I have been told, the programming is required because it is to comply with US emissions standards ( or rather stupid California emission standards that they apply to everyone) My car is an 08 build and that is what I was told |
