Major shudder, loss of power and CEL what's going on?

I was pulling onto a freeway on a slight uphill ramp and was accelerating when the engine light came on and the car started to shudder.
It seemed like a misfire or as if it was running on 3 cylinders.
I was on map 1. I don't think that it is related to the procede, but i wonder if it was?
I had to pull over and try to restart the car. It took about three shits to get it running normal again.
I have had the HPFP checked and the dealer said it was OK.
Not sure if it is related, but the DCT currently has a fault that it won't go into Park. BMW are sending a new actuator cable from Germany. Normally the car just wont go into Park, however the other day it indicated that it was in neutral when I was traveling at 100km/h. It was OK, just a warning on the idrive.
Today, it seemed as though the car went into N when accelerating then the CEL came on.

Any ideas?

The codes will help us help you. But without seeing codes, people will guess HPFP's. I would also check to make sure all procede wires on on tight.

How is this in any way the procedes fault???
The hpfp is obviously going bad and the dct has nothing to do with it just another Bmw part gone bad.....

+2

I have had every iteration of Procede on my car from V1 ---> current V5 starting at 12,000 miles and I now have 54,000 miles. To date I only had 1 procede related issue, in which Shiv had already resolved with newer maps that he emailed me that day.

You likely have a damaged/failed DCT control mechanism. The dealership should be able to fix it quickly.
