Recommend a dealer in NY
Can anyone recommend a dealer in NY for service. I bought my E90 in NJ but I live in NY and I need to get inspection done in NY.

If you're still under warranty, I don't think it matters that much.
A few years ago, I bought my first BMW from Endurance Motors in Mount Kisco. They were fine -- until the car is out of warranty. Then, good luck getting service - typically, 4 to 6 weeks for an appointment. If you're in westchester and you plan on keeping your car past warranty, there's an excellent, independent BMW service shop in Bedford Hills (just off the Saw Mill Parkway) called Bimmers Only. Much much better than a dealer. I moved to NJ and wish I had someone that good near me now. Last edited by driverseven; 02-04-2006 at 01:13 PM.. |

Endurance is actually not very good unfortunately... they are a bad dealer to say the least, I know a lot of people that have had problems there, and I would not recommend them to anyone. I wish I could since I live close by. I would recommend Westchester over them also.
I actually purchased my car from Wide World of Cars in Spring Valley NY. Real close to NJ, Basically where the Garden State ends. They rule as a dealership, and actually have a BMW certified autobody shop. and you can check the ferraris and maseratis out while you are there! Since it looks like you are in NYC why not just go to Manhattan? All of the dealers are listed in with the owners manual in a seperate book, so see which one is the closest to you and then see what experience people have had with that/those dealer(s)!!! Best of luck! |

I'm glad to hear a recommendation of Westchester BMW -- I'm planning to go there tomorrow and talk turkey. I'm comparing them to OpenRoad in Edison.
The thing I am wary about with Westchester is that they advertise so much, they can't be very good on price. Those ads on WFAN are not cheap. They do seem to have the best selection around for test-driving.

Dealer in Long Island
I'd have to recommend Competition BMW in St. James. They have the best staff around and are very honest people. I recently ordered my 330i sport package, metallic paint, htd seats, BMW Assist and was very happy with the service & price I received. Bob Bellucci has been more like an advisor than a salesperson and thats all you could ask for!! I have friends who have been buying their cars here for years and have always been satisfied. Don, the sales manager, is also one of the best car guys around. If you're in the market or need service I would check them out.

St. James? I guess if I don't know where that is, then it's too far.
And here I I thought I knew Long Island pretty well...

Since this thread started I went to Westchester BMW, ordered and took delivery. I only have the car a few days but everything worked out well. It arrived a few days earlier than they said and so far, all of the surprises have been pleasant.

I've heard that Westchester BMW is directly owned by the company. Not a franchised ownership.
Friend of mine said they're able to provide the best deals. Anyone care to elaborate on the deals received from there?

Westchester BMW, is that the dealership on rt. 119(tarrytown rd.)? Who was your salesperson? I might go in there and talk to them about getting rid of my car for a new 330xi. Thanks.

I already got my inspection done a while ago. Thanks for the offer. If I ever need to bring my E90 in to the dealer for any other service I'll take you up on your offer.

Rallye BMW
Go back and and ask for another salesman.
I just purchased my car from Rallye and my first saleman was a dog. Very unhelpful and was upset that I was seeking a competitive price. Didn't even want to sell me a car. So I left, determined to go to another dealer to buy my car, but then a colleague suggested that I go back and talk to another salesman. Totally different experience. Very helpful and positive. Gave me a better offer than the first salesman. So nice, that even if the price was a little higher, I'd buy the car from him. |
