tire discounts?

Any vendor on here offering discounts on tires to e90post members? Or would any of you like to quote me for:

Continnetal Extremecontact DW 225/40/18 and 255/35/18 shipped to 45039

Well, I just bought the exact same tires/sizes. I usually rotate between (2) different tire vendors: Tire Rack (forum sponsor) or Discount Tire Direct. I have never seen Tire rack offer any further discount to forum members - so pricing you see on the site is what you get...

I used Tire Rack for my winter wheel/tire setup using Blizzak WS70's & 17" aftermarket wheels. I pay with Tire Rack using 'Bill Me Later' which offers 6 months 0% financing - can't beat that as you don't have to come up with all the cash and as long as you pay off within 6 months, there is no interest

For the Conti DW's I went with DTD as they had the best deal. Currently, the comparison is:

Tire rack

(2) DW's 225/40R18 -> $164 = $328
(2) DW's 255/45R18 -> $233 = $466
Shipping = $58.52
Total = $852.62

DTD

2) DW's 225/40R18 -> $174.77 = $349.54
(2) DW's 255/45R18 -> $244 = $488
Shipping = FREE
Total = $837.54

At the time I bought mine from DTD, the price difference was even greater as they were also offering a $50 Rebate if you used your Car Care One CC to purchase (which I have) + 6 months 0% Financing

So for me it was a no brainer. DTD price was $787.54 with 0% compared to Tire rack price of $852.62 with 0%

I did check with some other forum sponsors on tire pricing such as BavX (forum sponsor) since I was buying my new MiRo 942's from them anyway - their tire pricing did not compete with the others mentioned (but the wheel + TPMS pricing could not be beat)

BTW, having a Car Care One card is always a plus - depending on how much you spend on a purchase, the amount is always either 6, 9, or 12 month 0% financing. DTD always has free shipping. Their tire prices are slightly higher then Tire Rack, but with the free shipping, total cost always comes out cheaper. Tire rack has much nicer wheel selection though if you are getting wheels at the same time...

Just thought I'd throw out there my experience with different vendors

I just ordered the tires from Tire rack...the couple bucks saved from DTD wasn't really worth it for me, seeing as how TR is a supporting vendor here...eventhough I didn't purchase from the link! hahaa...Any who, thanks for the help!

Yeah, back a month ago, DTD was offering the rebate so the difference was great at $70.

Like I stated, I buy from both vendors, I dropped $900+ at TireRack last October for my winter wheels/tires - so I thought I'd go with DTD this time to 'spread the wealth'
