E90 LCI rear Offset & Staggered Question

Would it be ok to go from 18 x 8.5 ET 37 (stock rear staggered wheel) to 18 x 9.5 ET40 for the rear of my E90 LCI 255/35/18.

The next question would I be ok to run 225/40/18 winters all round on my OE staggered wheels. 18x8 up front and 18x8.5 in the rear. Thinking of using my stock rims for winters.

Thanks

255 will be no problem. Personally I'd go for 265/35/18.

EDIT: For your 4WD, I think you may need to keep the stock sizes to avoid mismatch in rolling diameter.

Yes you can go with that wheel set up but I would move up to a 265 rear as 255 may look a little too stretched on a 9.5 wheel. You can run 225's all around on stock staggered rims.

That will be perfectly fine.
