compatability question

If I were to put on wheels from an E46 with 47 offset on my 07 328xi would it work and/or would it look ridiculous? I know the difference in offset but would it require spacers and has anyone done it? Thanks.

My current wheel/tire setup is 205/55/16 and I've been looking at some E46 wheels, style 73, which are 225/45/17. I know the offset is different, I just wanted to know if anyone went the same route and how it looked. Thanks.

We would need to still know the width and offset to determine whether it will work or not.

Yes, not sure if they'll bolt on without spacers, but you'll need spacers for the fitment to look okay.

They'll clear the inside without a problem but you may run into caliper to spoke clearance issues. Spacers may be required.

Thank you. I was pretty sure I'd need spacers but glad I asked the experts anyway.
